The Gospel According to the Forgotten Feminine

An Unlikely Biblical Book Club

Ever wonder what got lost in translation over 2,000 years of politics, power, and patriarchal edits?

In this one-of-a-kind book club, we’ll journey beyond dogma into the mystical roots of Yeshua’s teachings and Mary Magdalene’s presence—comparing the Gospel of John with The Gospel of the Beloved Companion. Together we’ll uncover forgotten stories, hidden truths, and the Divine Feminine woven throughout. This isn’t your grandma’s Bible study. This is an awakening of the sacred within you.

Two thousand years from now very few will understand the nuance between a “butt dial” and a “booty call.”

So how can we be so sure now, two thousand years after Jesus Christ, Yeshua, walked the earth in human form, that His message, as interpreted by Popes, priests, politicians, zealots, and even scholars, those seeking to gain or maintain status, power, and control, is Yeshua’s true message?

What if Mary Magdalene butt dialed Jesus?

(Stay with me here).

What if Pope Gregory decided to give a homily, as he did in 591AD, proclaiming Mary Magdalene did not butt dial her Beloved Companion, but rather, booty called Christ, and thus she is a whore!

It’s not exactly what he said in the homily–the butt dialing/booty call part, I mean–but he did very much proclaim Mary Magdalene a whore in 591AD.

And what if this message, what if Pope Gregory’s interpretation persisted for thousands of years throughout the Catholic Church and all of the church’s derivatives (as governed by the Patriarchal rule) leading followers of Christ to believe Christ alone was the Messiah, and his Beloved Companion, Mary Magdalene, was nothing but a booty call, one that he, of course, did not act upon because the Son of God couldn’t possibly have any needs of the flesh.

(Insert eye roll emoji here)

What if the Gospels that were written by Mary Magdalene or by others proclaiming Her powerful co-leadership (The Apostle to the Apostles) during and after Christ’s time on earth were destroyed by the Romans and the church?

What if the Gospels that alluded to Her power, and your own personal power–the very Gospels that illustrated a step-by-step how to connect with God/Spirit/Mother Earth directly without a Priest, a Rabbi, a politician, a temple, any go-between–what if they were destroyed intentionally to keep you ever-reliant upon a power outside of yourself?

What if the canonical Gospels you know and read today were hand-picked by the church and government, and their very specific interpretations were handed down for 2000 years to maintain control and order over women and the people at large?

Because this is exactly what happened.

In 2010, Jehanne DeQuillan, a descendant of the medieval Cathar Community from the Languedoc in France, published The Gospel of The Beloved Companion, a Gospel strikingly similar to the canonical Gospel of John, but with a distinctly feminine presence and essence. Scholars dismissed it because DeQuillan refused to produce any tactile evidence of the very manuscript her ancestors died protecting during the Albigensian Crusades, the campaign that led to the Spanish Inquisition, and extinction of her people and their faith.

“Those who have ears, let them hear,” DeQuillan said.

And so I am listening.

I invite you to listen as well.

Why an “Unlikely” Biblical Book Club?

It’s unlikely because I’m not a scholar, a zealot, or even necessarily a “Christian” in the traditional sense–certainly not in the sense that has divided my country in two–but I’m very much an accidental believer in Christ-Sophia Consciousness.

I say accidental, because I did not choose this path so much as it chose me.

My journey has taken me on many wondrous paths of revelation. First a deep dive into learning energy medicine, then a download of the Tree of Life overlaid on the seven sacraments overlaid over the chakra system, the energy centers I had been studying.

And then a visitation with “the woman with the red eggs.”

In meditation she told me to pay attention. She was here to move me toward the next phase of my soul’s work.

I actually had to Google, “Who’s the woman with the red eggs,” because I didn’t know who she was, but could feel her importance.

Mary Magdalene herself.

Let’s just say it was a WHOLE THING for a half-Jewish girl who fought tooth and nail to NOT be confirmed into the Catholic church (and lost BTW), who once had a full-blown PTSD response to a mass while visiting St. Patrick’s cathedral, who swore the only church she’d ever attend again was the church of Mother Nature.

Miracles happen.

Even when we’re reluctant to receive them.

The Unlikely Biblical Book Club is an answer to an ask by members of my Earth and Ether Collective, where I occasionally unpack scripture in the context of the history and politics of the time, in an attempt to do away with dogma, and to bring forward the expression of Jewish mysticism and the presence of the Divine Feminine in the text.

How do I know this stuff if I’m not a scholar or a zealot? Well, when a lady holding a basket of red eggs shows up in meditation and tells you she has important work for you to do, it’s hard to not pay attention. So often she shows me things or tells me things I just don’t understand–so I have to go looking.

The Unlikely Biblical Book Club is the result of the deep dives I’ve been sent into—direct revelation in meditation from guides, books, scripture heard first on the inner levels then found in the holy works themselves, courses of study, wild goose chases, and most recently, 1:1 work with my mentor, Pastor Kimberley Elliot.

It’s an answer to an ask by Mary Magdalene herself.

We will meet twice a month every other(ish) Thursday from 1pm to 2:30PST beginning October 9th and ending on December 18th to compare and contrast the Canonical Gospel of John with the Gospel of the Beloved Companion. Each session will include a bit of history, linguistics, an introduction to the basic framework of the Judaic Tree of Life, reading aloud, and interpretation, both my own (what has come through me), what the scholars say, what your Pastor or Parish Priest might say, and how to take it in the information to find what is true for you.

This is a return to Mary Magdalene’s embodiment of her time as the Kallah Messiah.

The rich truth that the kingdom of heaven is within. And when we work together you will open up to connect to your intuition, and move information through you from your own connectivity to God. This is what Mary modeled. This is what Yeshua called us to.

Please note, in this time together, we may not get very far. The texts are so rich and rife with all the things! If we like what we’re doing and want more, we can choose to continue in the new year.

Maybe we can even find a new name for us together?
